Oklahoma... where the winds come sweeping down the plains!

Disclaimer: this post might be all over the place... it has been awhile since I have updated on life adventures.

Hello! It sure has been AWHILE! 9 months to be exact, and I will be honest at times I forget I even have a blog... I was not even sure what my URL was or any passwords, it took some time but I figured it out and the updating will continue!

To start off we no longer live in Florida, Oklahoma is where we call home. Enid, Ok. Good bye beach Hello .... nothing. Oklahoma is a beautiful place I am sure, but Enid, OK flat and HOT!

 Good By FL!                                                                                    HELLO OK!
The drive from FL to OK was not horrible. It was 16 hours and I did not drive once. Chalrton's dad came out and helped us move, he was WONDERFUL! he drove the moving van the whole way and then helped set up everything and get the house working properly. Thanks Scott!!
It was hard to find a house in Enid, and on base housing was all occupied. So we got the first one we looked at. (I think we wanted to be done moving and house hunting)

We have a garage! We have always wanted a Garage! Our first garage, haha.

I will admit I moved to Enid with a negative attitude. Knowing Target and OKC were an hour and half from me really bothered me. being on extended network in my own house sucks. Not having mountains around me was going to be boring. But Enid has not been horrible to me. Home is where the heart is, and where the people or person you love are. I have that all here so I know when the time comes it will be hard to say good bye. Especially to the great people we have already met. Plus I need to get used to moving around a lot, it come with the job.

Being in Enid we have been able to celebrate a lot! We were able to celebrate our First Anniversary, July 1st!  It has been a speedy year, but a wonderful year as well. I am still happy so all is good!
I want this necklace!!

We were also able to celebrate Charlton's 26th Birthday! Since our anniversary is on the same day as his birthday we were able to have a fun filled... Sunday ha ha. (We skipped fasting) But having a birthday and anniversary on the same day means GIFTS FOR EVERYONE! :) :)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BABE!!! Being older than 24 is intense you require 2 boxes of candles !! WOOT WOOT for turning 26!!!!

We also were able to celebrate the Fourth of July here!! It was a lot of fun! I love fireworks and we were able to see some good ones! Charlton got two days off for the fourth so the week was a lot of fun, although we did not do much it was fun to relax and hang out with friends!

RED, WHITE, & BLUE!

FIREWORKS!! haha

The last 9 months have been eventful! Come December we will be moving again, we are not sure yet but I will keep you all updated! I promise promise this time! Charlton's training will be done come December and we will be able to start living for reals! Now I can not go a post without talking about the pup, Jimmer.

In one month Jimmer will celebrate is FIRST BIRTHDAY!!! We are so excited. Well I am more excited then Charlton! I just adore him completely. He is with me every day all day! Here are some pictures! I hope you feel the same way... look into those eyes and you will fall in LOVE!

Our little big watchdog!

I always struggle when it comes to updating or thinking about updating but every time I am finish I think, hey that was not so bad it is fun to talk about yourself! I might turn this into a regular thing. Well... we will start with a monthly thing... maybe. Enjoy the update! Until we meet again! :)

And for some pure entertainment here is a little jingle:

They couldn't pick a better time to start in life!
It ain't too early and it ain't too late
Startub as a farner wutg a brand new wife

He does not enjoy being tied up.

It's a BOY !

We have welcomed a new member into our family. A PUPPY!

We have welcomed a new member into our family. A PUPPY!!

Name: Jimmer (we will get to the explanation later)
Bread: Weimaraner
Age: 9 weeks

He is adorable, lovable, rambunctious, and also has narcolepsy- not really but he cannot stay awake for more then 20 minutes.. He sleeps the majority of the day and loves to cuddle. He is my new cuddle buddy. Despite his puppy odor and horrible breath, he is our new best friend. We picked him out the week he was born. His eyes were not opened yet, and amazingly enough we were visiting him when he first opened his eyes, so we can legitimately claim that we were the first things Jimmer saw in this world. We continued to visit him every week before we were able to take him home. He was the only male in his litter of 12, and we were the first to pick our puppy...which means he was the "pick of the litter!" We were not supposed to get him until Friday but Charlton surprised me and walked into the house on Tuesday with our bundle of joy, best surprise ever! The whole puppy thing was supposed to be a surprise but Charlton just can't keep a surprise and took me to pick him out, he decided to surprise me that way, which I loved...except when he walked in the door the first thing I said was "Thats not Jimmer," we took the wrong dog! Sure enough it was him, they just change so much from week to week. It makes me sad, I wish he would stay a puppy forever, I love him as a puppy! But I guess I will love him as a 90 pound dog as well. The first week we got him, he was only 7 weeks old and we were setting the alarm for every 3 hours... did I say "we?" I meant "I." He does not bark yet which makes it difficult to be mean and discipline him. A bark you can get mad and aggravated at, but a little whimper is so hard to say no to.

I am obsessed with my Jimmer. I always thought I would never love a dog like I love my snicker-doodle, who lives with my parents, but Jimmer has these big blue eyes that suck me in. His ears are too big for him and the ears make him top heavy. Weimaraners lose their eye color after a couple months, and their eyes are suppose to end up this yellow color, but I honestly think they look like alien eyes. Charlton and I have a secret competition going on, we are both trying to make him like us more. Which is one of the reasons I jump out of bed at 3:45 am to let him out, but I have noticed Charlton does not even budge. I think I am the only one in this competition.

Now to the name... As I have learned, Jimmer was a very good basketball player for BYU and was drafted by the Kings this past year. So we named our dog after a basketball player from BYU... My husband says he is not a BYU fan but he loves the name. It was a child's name or the dog's name. Charlton really wanted it... so we made a bet and I lost, I did however, get an hour long back massage. I have to admit after calling him Jimmer, the name fits him perfectly... he is a Jimmer. Charlton says you just got Jimmered...whatever that means?

We were going to wait on the whole puppy thing until later in our marriage but our house just has wood and tile flooring, so if anything happens it will be easier to clean up which makes potty training just a little bit nicer. Jimmer has definitely taught me patience and that I am waiting to have babies that need to be fed in the middle of the night. I love having him. I love taking care of him, but from the words in Eat Pray Love having a baby is like getting a tattoo on your face, it is a full time commitment. Same with a puppy, he is a full time commitment. Now I understand the bonds some of my friends (you know who you are) have with their cute little pets! Don't think this will be the only post on him. Enjoy, and more to come!

The Beginning

Here goes nothing... this should please many people. I have been meaning to do this and slowly watching each of my friends develop their so cute blogs I constantly think about creating my own. It just comes down to when will I actually sit down and stop the excuses of why I have not started. No more excuses, I think I can have fun with this.

I guess a first blog post isn't successful unless you explain how you met your husband and about that wonderful day of matrimony Well... July 1st, 2011 was an amazing day I married the man of my dreams, Charlton.
We met in Pueblo, Colorado. I was going to school and he was there for the a program in the Air Force. We met at a singles FHE. I always told myself I would never let that happen. As usual I walked in late and saw this new boy sitting on the couch, I then made it a goal of mine to be next to him. when that was accomplished the rest was down hill from there. We were married in the Twin Falls LDS temple. it was a beautiful day, we will never forget! We were so blessed to have all our favorite people there to support us. Thanks guys!

Now we have been married for 2 months and we are still as happy as can be, We are actually pretty cheesy. If people heard the way we talk to each other or the things we say I am pretty sure we would be laughed at, starred at, but ooo well we are young and in love and having fun too.

I did it! Enjoy! More to come.
